What is Mindfulness?


  • is a secular meditation technique, easily learnt, which calms your mind, enabling you to pay attention to your experiences with acceptance and compassion
  • consists of simple practices and exercises, 1 to 60 minutes long
  • involves settling your mind, following your breath and relaxing in the present moment
  • begins with sitting, focussing awareness on your body and breath and allowing thoughts to arise without following them
  • can be used whilst doing anything, including sitting, standing, lying down, eating, walking, driving and so on
